Microsoft + University of Liverpool

The University of Liverpool, in collaboration with Microsoft, has demonstrated that successful transformation in digital teaching and learning is not the result of technology deployment alone, but of sustained focus on people, practices, and connection.

Through the development of the Champions Community - a hybrid community of over 300 academic professionals - the University created a scalable and inclusive model for embedding digital capability across the institution. Led by Dr Monica Chavez and colleagues at the Centre for Innovation in Education, the initiative combined a community of practice, champions, peer coaching, and structured capability development to enable staff to effectively integrate Microsoft Teams into their teaching practice.
